Houston’s Newest Opera Venue Event Details

We are pleased you will be joining us on Friday, November 12, from 2:00-3:30 P.M., for our visit to the Brockman Hall for Opera on the Rice University campus. We will meet in the foyer of the Brockman Hall, entering via the plaza between Brockman Music and Performing Arts Center and Alice Pratt Brown Hall (known to many of us as the Shepherd School). The entrance looks like this, and the doors will be open:

Since publication of the Houston Seminar brochure, there have been changes to the program. Former Dean Robert Yekovich’s travel schedule will prohibit him from participation in this class. We are saddened to note that Miah Im, director of the Opera Studies program, died on September 30. A tribute to her can be found at https://news.rice.edu/news/2021/rice-remembers-miah-im-director-opera-studies.

We are happy to report that Dean Matthew Loden will be on hand to welcome registrants.
