Stephen Fox is an architectural historian and a lecturer at the Rice University School of Architecture. He is also a lecturer at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston and a fellow of the Anchorage Foundation of Texas. His scholarship examines the ways architecture engages social constructs such as class identity, cultural distinction, and regional differentiation. He is the author of The Country Houses of John F. Staub (Texas A&M University Press, 2007). He has long been associated with The Houston Seminar, and has led several of our best reviewed study tours.
