Directions and Parking
There are a couple parking options available for this event. We also recommend carpooling or using a ride share if you are comfortable doing so.

Parking at the Founder’s Court lot at Rice is shortest walk to Fondren Library (about 1500 ft). Parking at this lot is $1 for every 10 minutes, and payable only by credit card. After exiting the parking lot, walk through the arch (also known as the Sallyport), past the statue of William Marsh Rice and to Fondren Library located at the far end of the quadrangle.

Free parking is available at Hermann Park lot A, across Main Street from Rice, about a half-mile walk from the Library. Cross Main Street at Sunset by the light rail and walk through the gate at the corner onto Rice Campus. Walk southwest down the boulevard of oak trees to the Sallyport.

This map of Rice Campus is worth a look if you are not familiar with the area.

You will need a photo ID to enter the library. Once you are in the library, turn left and turn left a second time to enter an elevator. Push the button for the 3rd floor. The Kyle Morrow room will be immediately on your left.

Please note that no food or drinks are allowed in Fondren Library.

COVID Protocol
As you are no doubt aware, the City of Houston and Harris County continue to be at Level 1: Severe Threat (Stay Home Unless Fully Vaccinated). For the health and safety of our registrants, COVID-19 vaccination is required to attend this event. Rice University policy requires the wearing of masks when indoors. As always, if you are experiencing any COVID symptoms, please do not attend this event; we will be happy to refund your registration fee.
