Directions and Parking

The Houston Hip Hop Collection is located in the Special Collection Libraries at the main M.D. Anderson Library at University of Houston.

Special Collections is located at the 2nd floor red elevators. After entering the library, proceed straight in up the short flight of stairs, through security, past the circulation desk, toward the back of the building, then up one floor.  You will be asked to lock up your purses, coats, and other items in lockers at the library.

There is a good 10 minute walk to get to the library from the parking at UH. Parking is available in the Hilton Hotel garage (down the ramp) or the Welcome Center garage (up the ramp). Please see this map for more parking details.

Make sure to leave at least 20 minutes for parking and getting settled at the library before the session start time.

COVID Protocol

The City of Houston and Harris County continue to be at Level 1: Severe Threat (Stay Home Unless Fully Vaccinated). For the health and safety of our registrants, COVID-19 vaccination is required to attend this event. Masks must be worn when indoors. As always, if you are experiencing any COVID symptoms, please do not attend this event; we will be happy to refund your registration fee.
