Elliott Witney is chief program officer of Good Reason Houston’s program team, where he oversees district and school support, early childhood work, and human capital strategy. Prior to joining Good Reason Houston, he served as an associate superintendent in Spring Branch ISD where he led several district-wide efforts–including strategy, school redesign, leadership capacity-building, and innovation–designed to deliver on the district’s goal that every child ultimately earns a post-secondary credential. He also worked for KIPP Houston Public Schools as a teacher, school leader, and district leader while supporting numerous national expansion efforts for the KIPP Foundation during a rapid-growth phase. He started his educational career as a Teach for America corps member teaching 5th grade in Houston ISD.
