Billy Cohn

Dr. Billy Cohn is a cardiovascular surgeon best known for his role in the development of a continuous-flow artificial heart pump. An inventor and innovator, Dr. Cohn holds numerous patents and serves as the director of minimally invasive surgical technology at the Texas Heart Institute. He is the co-director of the Cullen Cardiovascular Research Laboratory, an associate professor of surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, and adjunct professor of bioengineering at the University of Houston. Dr. Cohn received his BA from Oberlin College and his MD from Baylor College of Medicine.
