Dennis Huston

J. Dennis Huston is Professor Emertius of English at Rice University, where he taught from 1969 until 2017. He has won a number of George R. Brown teaching awards, the Nicholas Salgo Teaching Prize, and the 1990 Professor of the Year award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and the Carnegie Foundation. Dr. Huston has taught humanities, drama, public speaking, and Shakespeare on film and is the author of Shakespeare’s Comedies of Play.  Huston holds a Ph.D. from Yale University.
