Dr. George T. Diaz is an assistant professor of history at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Diaz, a native of Laredo, Texas, holds a Ph.D. in history from Southern Methodist University. He has served on the faculty in history and Mexican American studies at South Texas College in McAllen, the University of Houston, and Sam Houston State University.
