James Hollis received his doctorate from Drew University and taught humanities for 26 years in various colleges and universities before retraining as a Jungian analyst at the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. Hollis served as executive director of The Jung Center from 1997 until 2008. He is a Jungian analyst in private practice in Washington, D.C. He is the author of eighteen books, including Finding Meaning in The Second Half of Life (2005) and Hauntings: Dispelling the Ghosts Who Run Our Lives (2013).
