Judson W. Robinson III

Judson W. Robinson III is a third-generation Houstonian. Judson received a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Fisk University. He began his professional career at IBM, where he excelled as a leader in sales, marketing, and account management. Ultimately, Judson entered local politics and was elected to the Houston City Council from 1992-1997 as Council Member At-Large Position 5. He also served as Vice Mayor Pro-Tem, where he chaired four Council committees including the Redevelopment and Revitalization Committees, and served on six others including the City’s Committee on Business and Tourism, which he founded.

In 2008, Judson took a more active role in civil rights and advocacy and became President and CEO of the Houston Area Urban League, where he currently serves.
