J. Pittman McGehee, D.D. is an Episcopal priest and a Jungian analyst. He is a popular lecturer in the fields of psychology and religion and has held many distinguished lectureships. He is also a widely published poet and the coauthor of Raising Lazarus: The Science of Healing the Soul (2009; with Blair Justice) and The Invisible Church: Finding Spirituality Where you Are (2008). The recipient of an honorary doctorate of divinity from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest and an earned master of divinity degree from the Virginia Theological Seminary, Pittman McGehee was the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Houston for eleven years.
