Deborah Cramer is a Visiting Scholar at the Environmental Solutions Initiative at MIT. Her book, Smithsonian Ocean: Our Water, Our World, is the companion publication to the Sant Ocean Hall, a facility for oceanic study at the National Museum of Natural History. Harvard biologist E.O Wilson calls this poetic and beautiful book the “best in its class.”
