Emilee Dawn Whitehurst

Emilee Dawn Whitehurst has served as executive director of the Rothko Chapel since 2008. In her leadership capacity at the Chapel, she draws on her academic studies of world religions and her practical experience working in communities of faith. She believes that the contemplative practices embedded within religious traditions offer essential wisdom as we seek to respond to matters of global concern. She has a B.A. with honors in Human Biology from Stanford University and a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School. Ms. Whitehurst is an ordained Presbyterian minister.
