Sandy Edwards

Sandy Edwards got her start as a campus concert committee member at Lenoir Rhyne College in North Carolina, and later at Western Illinois University, where she booked entertainment on campus.  Eventually she and her spouse became the management team for the Shreveport Symphony before Ms. Edwards became director of development at Pennsylvania State University in 1992.  In 1998, the couple were invited to lead a $1 billion campaign to endow The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where Ms. Edwards met the Walton Family.  In 2007 she was asked to join Alice Walton’s new venture to realize the dream that would become Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, becoming deputy director when the museum opened in 2011.
