20th Century Latin American Art: Collecting, Creating, Conserving
See individual course for instructions.
Latin American artists of the 20th century, influenced by international currents of revolutionary thought and style, experimented wildly with disruptive means and materials to ground universal ideas in local imagery and color. Awareness of the seminal and important works of Latin America modernists has grown in recent years thanks to the work of a few collectors, curators, museums, and artists. Like Beatriz González, they believe “art relates what history cannot.”
