Melissa Suhr

Melissa Suhr performs with the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera Orchestras, Masterworks Chorus, and Grand Teton Music Festival. A graduate of Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music with a Master’s Degree, Ms. Suhr studied with Albert Tipton, Frances Lapp-Averitt, Bernard Goldberg and spent five summers working with the great pedagogue Geoffrey Gilbert. She was the founding member/flutist of Cimarron Woodwind Quintet in Houston, and is an affiliate artist of flute at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston. (Spring 2012)
